📋 What Photo Size Is Needed for Each Exam?
SSC (Staff Selection Commission) — CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD: All SSC exams require a 3.5cm × 4.5cm (35×45mm) JPG photo. The maximum file size should be between 20KB and 50KB. The background should be white or a light color. Select the SSC preset in this tool and apply 50KB compression — that's all you need.
UPSC (IAS/IPS Civil Services): UPSC requires a 35mm × 45mm JPG photo under 300KB in size. The face should cover about 80% of the frame, and a light background is required. A separate signature scan is also needed — use the Signature tab for that.
Railway RRB (NTPC, Group D, ALP, TC): Railway forms require a 35×45mm JPG photo with a maximum size of 100KB and a minimum resolution of 200 DPI. Apply the Railway preset and 100KB compression in this tool to get exactly the right photo.
Aadhaar Card Update/Enrollment: Aadhaar requires a 35×45mm JPG photo under 200KB. The same size is accepted at enrollment centers too. Just select the Aadhaar preset directly.
PAN Card (NSDL/UTIitsl): The photo size for a PAN card application is a little different — 53×45mm (width × height). Here the width is larger. The PAN Card preset is already set up in this tool.
IBPS PO / SBI PO / Clerk / RRB Officer: Bank exams require a 35×45mm passport photo in JPG format. The file size should be between 50KB and 100KB. A signature is also needed separately at 140×60px — the Signature tab is available for that.
